A spacious and welcoming spot on the bustling top end of Cuba street, with extensive indoor and outdoor seating, it’s the perfect place for an after work catch up with friends over beers and snacks - with your dogs! The team love having your furry friends to say hello to, with water bowls available on request and dog treats on the counter.
There are bar-leaners and wonderfully comfy chairs inside this #aesthetic interior, with picnic table seating and bean bags littered outside. A huge selection of board games are available, with cornhole and giant Jenga outside also.
If you’re not sure what you want, or aren’t familiar with the ever changing beers of Heyday, they offer tasting flights to give you a chance to have a drop of everything (with there sometimes being up to 12 beers on tap, this is an excellent option)! Their food menu is delicious, with vegan and vegetarian options, DF and GF as well, there’s something for everyone! Our personal fave is the Heyday Fried Chicken with Heyday beer BBQ sauce, SO GOOD!
Keep an eye on their Instagram @heydaybeerco to hear about their frequent beer launches which they often pair with the most delicious food (their last beer launch saw their Nelly NZ Hopped Tangelo wheat beer paired with a dark chocolate sprinkle Creme Brûlée *drools*). Dreamsicle, a collab between Wellington breweries Heyday Beer Co, Fortune Favours and Choice Bros launches this Saturday!
If you do visit Heyday with your pooch, upload a photo of them to Instagram with the hashtag #houndsofheyday to be featured on their gram!
P.S Please be a responsible dog parent! If your dog has never been in a loud and busy environment before, take it easy with them. Get them used to it slowly and don’t expect them to be perfect the first time around. It takes time and patience to have a chill pub dog, but it’s worth the perseverance!
